Business Objects names Jean-Pierre Brulard as senior vice president and general manager, EMEA region
Newly Promoted Leader Joins Business Objects Executive Committee
Brussels – November 12, 2007 – Business Objects (Nasdaq: BOBJ; Euronext Paris ISIN code: FR0004026250 - BOB), the world’s leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced the appointment of Jean-Pierre Brulard as Senior Vice President and General Manager, for Europe, the Middle-East and Africa (EMEA). As a result of this promotion, Brulard joins the Company’s Executive Committee where he will advise on Company strategy with management peers.
In his new role, Jean-Pierre Brulard will be responsible for all customer-facing operations across EMEA. He will provide guidance to sales, marketing, customer support, and general and administrative divisions across the region, reporting to Greg Wolfe, Executive Vice President of Operations at Business Objects. In his previous role at Business Objects, Brulard served as Vice President South/West Europe and EEMEA (Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.)

Jean-Pierre Brulard came to Business Objects in 2002 with a solid track record in the business software industry established over two decades. He began his career with sales positions at Unisys and Sun Microsystems, eventually rising to sales management at Thales IS. He honed his leadership skills working at senior levels for companies including Ingres, Informix and IBM.
